These days, the word ‘Legend’ is often over used or over stated. In musical terms, to me, the definition of a Legend means music that has borne the test of time and will continue to do so over the coming decades.

Who is your Music Legend? I’m sure that many a night has been spent with music lovers debating and insisting their favourite qualifies for the “Legend” status.

In the beginning pop – or more accurately rock’n’roll took over from skiffle and blues. Elvis Presley a southern white boy inhabiting a black form was the first and perhaps the most dynamic expression of a music that was raw and primal charged with sexual tension that was best measured by the shrill din of the adult voices attempting to shout it down

Later in the UK Cliff Richard aka good old Harry Webb became our version of Elvis and has survived the test of time. In December 2009 we were able to see Cliff Richard and the Shadows touring after a remarkable 50years in the business. Truly a ”Legend” in any sense of the word.

Others of course followed and today we are still listening to the likes of Roy Orbison, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly and Frank Sinatra.

As the decades rolled on we saw the likes of Dusty Springfield, Tom Jones Beatles, Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Madonna, Cher, Tina Turner, Queen to name just a few.

This show is going to try and cover the music of some of your favourites, ranging from the 50s right up to the 80s.  We obviously wont be able to cover them all however, I’m sure we will cover lots of your favourite songs.

I have a fantastic cast and a superb production team and this is our third year together after previously bringing you the Swinging Sixties and the Fabulous Fifties.

We are all excited about the show and cannot wait to get you all singing along in a party atmosphere.

Look forward to seeing you all there!!
