Confusions
By Alan Ayckbourn
16th May 2009
Archway Studio Theatre
Start 7:45pm
Presented by 'Purple Banana Theatre Group'
‘Between Mouthfuls’ is set in a restaurant and focuses on the revealing conversations of two dysfunctional relationships as revealed to the audience through the fragments that the waiter overhears as he moves between the tables.
‘Gosforth's Fete’ starts as drama set in the tea tent, and develops into well-choreographed chaos as everything goes wrong, ending as full-blown farce.
This visiting college production is directed by Jo Pickering, who has risen through the ranks of the Archway Youth and Young Adults Workshops and is about to go off and do drama at University. On the main stage she has played Flora in ‘Turn of the Screw’, Ann Page in ‘The Merry Wives of Windsor’ and the maid in ‘Dolly West’s Kitchen’. In the Studio last summer she played the title role in ‘Alice’s Adventures Underground’.
