A Christmas Carol
Thursday 18th, Friday 19th, Saturday 20th December 2008
Archway Studio Theatre
Throughout his career, Charles Dickens used to tour giving performed readings of his works. Amongst these, his most popular
was ‘A Christmas Carol’. Audiences would flock to hear the great man read the story of Ebenezer Scrooge and the ghostly visitors.
This Christmas we are hoping to re-create the experience as Charles Dickens himself (courtesy of Gary Andrews) comes to the Archway Studio Theatre. With live music and sound effects (supplied by Joy Andrews) this promises to be an atmospheric evening guaranteed to put even the hardest heart in the Christmas mood.
There will be a glass of steaming punch and a mince pie for everyone and to really get in the mood, why not come in Victorian costume (optional)?
