Alice's Adventures Underground

Archway Theatre Studio Theatre
Many of you know that we have a strong, thriving Youth Workshop here at the
Archway Theatre (this year presenting ‘Bugsy Malone’). But what happens
when they turn 16? Well, those for whom the draw of the theatre is too strong
to resist stay with us and join the small (but perfectly formed) Young Adults
Workshop. Now in its fourth year and going from strength to strength, the
Young Adults Workshop is a place for these talented young people to roll their
sleeves up and get stuck in at the pointy end of Drama. For the past couple of
years, tucked away in the studio, these talented young people have put on a
summer show to a small but highly appreciative audience.
This year, our play is ‘Alice’s Adventures Underground’, an exciting new version
of Lewis Carroll’s immortal stories ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and ‘Alice Through the
Looking Glass’, adapted by Gary Andrews and the Young Adults Workshop.
Come and meet Alice, The White Rabbit, The Queen of Hearts, The Mad Hatter,
Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dee, The Cheshire Cat, The Mock Turtle and a host
of others as you have never seen them before.
