"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages."

William Shakespeare

Audrey Hall
Rest In Peace

Audrey had been a member of the theatre since 1965. Her first performance was as Miss Ruth Perry in "Shadow in the Sun" for Barts Players. Both Audrey and Charlie were members who "strolled" to Scotland in 1966 and again in 1974. In 1967 both she and Charlie were in the "Wesker Trilogy" a production that incorporated both Barts Players and Horley Central Players. Later that same year, Charlie’s job took them both, together with Deborah and Andrew, to the Caribbean island of Barbados and the theatre waved a fond farewell for 2 years. When they returned to the Surrey area in 1969 they joined Horley Central Players as well as rejoining Barts Players.

Over the years, Audrey served on numerous committees and was for a short time Chairman of Horley Central Players. She played many roles and directed many plays, the last being "Albert Make us Laugh" in 1995. Audrey assisted in most areas of our theatre – Costumes, Stage Management, Prompt, Props, Set Dressing, and indeed Catering Assistant, offering members coffee during the interval.
