How do we follow last year’s incredible success of ‘Olivia’? Well, by presenting you with something completely different, that’s how!
This year the Workshoppers showcase all the skills they experience in workshop sessions: improvisation, mime, characterisation, script work, and many more, by presenting 2 one Act plays, by Alan Ayckbourn and Willy Russell.
Our younger members tell the story of Ernie, who has such a vivid imagination that whatever he fantasises about really does happen. This gets him into some tricky situations and causes his poor parents so much stress that they take him to the doctor to see if she can sort out his’illucinations’!
The older workshoppers take on the challenging ‘Our Day Out’, written for television by Willy Russell. A group of disadvantaged teenagers are taken out for the day by their teachers, in the hope that they might see what life is like outside the depressing streets where they live. Both teachers and pupils learn a few unexpected lessons in life in this funny yet poignant play.
PLEASE come and support our amazing workshoppers as they assure you that The Archway’s future is in safe hands.
