I decided with the December production that I wanted a play that was fun and would make people laugh. I read the female version of The Odd Couple and decided that I had found such a play.
Even those who have seen The Odd Couple performed countless times in the past will, I can guarantee, exit smiling. The setting is Olive Madison’s apartment, the site of a weekly casual Trivial Pursuit and refreshments soiree for six women friends.
Conflict arrives late with the depressed arrival of Florence Unger. Separated from her husband, Florence is at the end of her tether and Olive agrees to take her in. But friends don’t always make the best flat mates and there is trouble ahead. Audiences will recognise familiar faces in the cast plus one new member.
The Costazuela brothers are invited to dinner and confusion reigns. I have a wonderful cast - Jan Sparkes, Dolena Richmond, Margaret Morris, Alex Sadler, Trish Moram, Carol Gregg, Craig Wayland and new member Greg Field, making his debut at the Archway. Please come and join us for what I know will be a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
