There are few books about the A.T.S. or indeed of any women’s services, they are the forgotten army... the one in skirts. Girls from all different walks of life were thrown together and had to make the best of it, the clash of personalities was inevitable.
This hilarious and poignant play gives an insight into the
problems and situations which ensue from joining the services; comradeship and humour are all contained in this fascinating glimpse into the early years of service given by women in the Second World War.
