A Month of Sundays
by Bob Larbey
Life in a rest home may not appear to be a source of comedy but, as we know from "One Foot in the Grave", there is humour in all things. In this play the author of "The Good Life" gives us a gentle sensitive glimpse of the twilight years. Set in a rest home, the action revolves around two residents: Cooper, recognising his own physical deterioration and his friend Aylott, struggling with intellectual decay. The two inmates face the painful ritual of family visits with humour and wit, aware that life can only be endured if treated as a comedy!
