Robin Hood and the Babes In The Wood
by Peter Denya
Get ready to take a trip back to the 70s & 80s with what I believe to be a great start to 2003. In my interpretation of this traditional Pantomime you will not be disappointed. I have kept to all the traditional aspects of Panto whilst introducing a slightly modern atmosphere, a great mixture of ALL AGES!!
Join Robin Hood (Jo Selby) as he (she) tries to rescue Janet and John (Erin Cornell, Natalie Pimm, Connor Sturt, Jack Haley) from the evil clutches of the Sheriff of Nottingham (Colin Robinson).
The romantic link in this production is provided by Maid Marioan (Charlotte Corless) and becomes the link between the life in Nottingham Castle and the Merry Men's lair in the heart of Greenwood. To add to the fantasy, The Spirit of Greenwood (Maggie Norris) represents the forces of good opposing the plots of the evil Sheriff.
I have had an immensely enjoyable time during rehearsals (especially with the music) and I am sure the cast and crew (headed by Lyn Isted) will endeavour to make sure your ABBA great time!
Don't "Take A Chance" on missing the "Dancing Queen" in case "The Winner Takes It All" but if that happens I will "Thank You For The Music"!
