Absurd Person Singular
by Alan Ayckbourn

This is without doubt one of the most hilarious plays I have ever been involved with.

A few people meet every year for a pre-Christmas get together in the home of one couple this year, of another couple next year and so on. They are a mixed bunch, not exactly friends, and Geoffrey and Eva's dog is a menace; however, the mix is magic.

Chris Yeldham is our know-all Sidney. Jane, his adoring under-the-thumb wife, is Jan Sparkes. Geoffrey, totally unable to control his dog, is handled by a welcome newcommer to our stage, Neil Perry; his wife, who again he is unable to control, is the lovely Ann Strickley, while Rolald, useless at DIY, is in the capable hands of Simon Bonsor, supported by, or should I say having to be supported, Viv Short, his inebriated wife.

What a wonderful cast, a wonderful evening, under the guidance of Dorothy Galley our stage manager, who will keep everything under complete control (we hope). Sounds off will be performed by our versatile back stage crew consisting of Diana Udul, John Wood, Ray Bennett, Lyn Bennett and Bobbie West.
