Here is a very warm "Hello" to the olders members of cast and crew and visitors from Germany. Does anyone remember Elsie Underwood? In the mid70ies, I used to spend the long summer vacation with Elsie so that I might improve my English via 'total emersion'. Visits to the Archway Theatre always were high on my list of things to do - especially as Elsie was honorary secretary to the Archway Theatre Club. I remember a superb production of "Anastasia" with Lady Marjory Wright ... So - anyone there who remembers Elsie? Herzliche Grüße, Ursula Hahnen - Terry Atherton, 2nd January 2008
To all of you, thanking you for an excellant evenings fun on New Years Eve. As a guest of Margarets and Ann I found everybody so very friendly and welcoming, I only wished I lived a lot nearer then maybe I could be of help to you in some way. So may I take this oppertunity of wishing you the very best for the forthcoming year with all your productions and may you go from strength to strength. I hope I will get to see you later in the year. - Alex Gear, 10th July 2007

Delighted to see Chris Butler still going strong after all these years, I played Celtic Twilight, he played Worldly Wise and Lyn Izon (who wasn't Yellow Cling Peach) slapped my face ten times (excluding rehearsals). I will omit the date, for decency's sake, but you can look up the History. I have the fondest of memories of those days, and of bumping into Strollers at Bunessan, years later. I hope I am not totally forgotten, even if, I hope, my acting is! - Elaine Cox, Salfords, Surrey, 21st Feb 2007
I was delighted when I came across your web site. I can remember visiting your amazing theatre & watching many lovely pantomimes & exciting shows when I was a young child. I am looking forward to becoming a member & bringing my children along to share what I experienced as a child. See you soon. Regards, Elaine.

Nice to see that the Archway Theatre is still going strong and it looks little changed in the photos. My father Norman Dunford was a keen member of the Archway theatre and Surrey strollers in 60s and 70s. I enjoyed the pantomimes every year for much of my youth. Thanks

Calling all teachers who were serving at Horley Comprehensive (as was) School, Balcombe Road between 1979 and 1983. We're having a reunion to celebrate our 40th birthday year, and would love it if any of our former teachers could make it. It's at Dragon's Squash Club in Copthorne on Saturday 3 March. Time: 7.30-11.30p.m. Bar provided. Please do try and make it! It promises to be a good night. If anyone reading this knows John Baldwin or Alan Tracey (Archway members), please could you let them know? Equally, Roger Hind, Alex Gear, 'Mrs' Eveleigh, Bill(?) Haselden, etc. etc. For more info, please contact me (Penny) or Melvin Palmer (melvin@palmerconsulting.co.uk)

Hello my lovelies, You know what it feels like when you have an itch that you can't scratch ?
That's what I feel like not being able to come and share your Panto mayhem with you this season. I know it's going well because I have a couple of spies in your camp but just wanted to wish you all the best for the rest of the run and make sure you have a great last few performances and a cool last night party - I'll be raising a glass of something remembering some fab Panto times with some fab Panto people - there's nothing like it !!!
Love to you all - may you all lose your trousers.

Happened on your site by chance. I am a member of a theatre group, The Nowra Players on south coast of NSW in Australia. We put on 4 plays a year and run drama classes for children. WE are fully amateur and have a season of ten - 11 performances. We have been going 55 years and have our own little theatre, seating 142 which we have gradualy improved. So from one little theatre to another - greetings and may you long flourish.
