Lighting & Sound

The Director appoints a Lighting and Sound Designer (Electrician) to work with them on the production.
It is the responsibility of the Electrician to attend rehearsals and design the lighting and sound plot for the production.
The next job is set the lights and compile all the sound.

During rehearsals lighting levels are changed and plotted in the lighting control board. All the levels and settings are noted in the script. The electrician is then responsible for operating the lights and sound for every night of the 'run'.
